In preparation of the 1st Annual Cotton Conference of the Cotton Expert House Africa and the Aid by Trade Foundation in Cotonou/Benin in November 2017, the ICT consultant Mr. Ralph Elsäßer conducted a study on the potential of digital technologies for the management, extension and knowledge exchange. For this study, Ralph Elsäßer conducted interviews with seven leading African cotton companies to assess the current situation of their use of ICT as well as their perception of potentials, obstacles and risks of the introduction of ICT tools.
