Engaging with stakeholders of the African cotton & textile sector
We believe that lasting change towards a sustainable cotton and textile sector must include stakeholders from the entire industry. We aim to build a strong exchange network in the cotton and textile sector in Africa and facilitate the exchange between all parties involved.
Our Regional Managers Mr. Tom Apina, responsible for Eastern and Southern Africa, and Mr. Boureima Sanon, responsible for Western and Central Africa, are your direct contact points in the region and available via email, mobile or frequent visits in your country. They will respond to your individual requests and support you with in-country stakeholder dialogue.
For regular exchange between stakeholders in the anglophone and francophone region, we organise a mid-year regional workshop every year. Check our events page for updates and the registration for this year’s regional workshops!
For a broader pan-African stakeholder exchange, we organise a large annual conference at the end of the year. Each year we discuss a specific topic with African cotton companies, associations, farmer representatives, sustainability standards, traders and subject matter experts. Check our events page for updates and the registration for this year’s pan-African Cotton Conference!
Additionally, team members of the Cotton Expert House Africa participate in all relevant sector conferences and meetings by other organisations to connect and exchange with stakeholders of the African cotton and textile industry. Visit our events page to stay informed about upcoming events. Updates on past events and meetings are also published there.
We are also in regular exchange with all sustainability standards, the German Partnership for Sustainable Textiles and the Bremer Baumwollbörse to receive important up-to-date sector information. Find regular information about our activities on of news page.
